SPORT ED – Journal of Sport Education and Development (SPORT ED) is a national open access, peer-reviewed, and bilingual journal published in the field of sport education and sport development. The journal is published three times a year in April, August, and December.

As a bilingual journal, SPORT ED publishes scholarly articles in both Indonesian and English.

SPORT ED aims to provide a professional platform for researchers, academics, practitioners, and scholars to publish their research findings and disseminate knowledge in the areas of sport education, physical education, coaching science, sport management, sport policy, and sport development at national and international levels.

This journal provides free and open access to encourage wider dissemination of research results in the field of sport education and development to a broader and more diverse readership.

Volume 1 No. 1 (2026) of SPORT ED – Journal of Sport Education and Development features five scholarly articles addressing current issues in physical education, sports learning, motor skill development, physical fitness, and adaptive physical education. This issue explores cooperative learning, game-based adaptive education, volleyball and basketball skill development, and the effectiveness of small-sided games for improving shooting accuracy and fitness.

The issue also includes a systematic review of motor skill development through physical education. Collectively, these studies provide evidence-based insights for physical education teachers, coaches, practitioners, academics, and researchers in developing effective, inclusive, and innovative sport and physical education programs.
